Sven J. Daam, physician

My journey as a physician started in the Royal Dutch Navy, where six years of navigating dynamic and sometimes challenging environments shaped my capacity for flexibility and adaptability. As a Navy doctor, I had the privilege of receiving top-notch training and education, embarking on incredible journeys, and encountering adventures beyond my imagination. As a Search and Rescue doctor, I’ve often found myself suspended under a helicopter, having to adapt with the resources available—an experience that continues to be incredibly valuable to me. I had a great time!

This is where I truly belong
After serving in the armed forces, I completed my training as a general practitioner—an honourable and rewarding profession—yet I yearned for the open water, the pull of the sea, and a life lived just beyond the familiar horizon. Pretty soon, I found myself immersed in the world of offshore and shipping. In this world, understanding quickly forms as you share experiences with others. A world where I feel content and relish each day. OmniHealth is truly a place where I feel at home.

With more than a decade of offshore experience behind me, I have served since 2020 as the Medical Adviser to NOGEPA. Every challenge is assessed from all angles—knowledge, field-honed expertise and hard-won insight—then tested against the realities of life at sea. It is demanding work, but it is work I pursue with unwavering commitment and genuine passion.

I strongly believe in creating your own opportunities. My ability to see past perceived obstacles has brought me to where I am today. I look forward to welcoming you to OmniHealth.
